Pathways, Edges, And Boundaries

This is the final exhibit for the Pathways, Edges, and Boundaries my class did as our final project for studio. We had to do numerous amounts of investigation before, and the project went through many changes before we came to our final idea. The concept for the project was to design an island by the Gatewood Studio Arts Building. The class was split up into five groups that each had an island. The only material that could be used was concrete which had to be mixed and molded by the class. These are the pictures of our final critique.
Each group had to make a scale model of their final island to be placed next to the others to make a cohesive presentation, The models all had to be made of cardboard and have no color so that the new additions could be clearly seen.

I was in the mirage group that was located between desert and oasis. This is our panel that shows our process work and full scale models of our island.
This is a photo of the mistakes we decided to include in our presentation. We wanted everyone to see that it took hard work and multiple tries to get our pieces just right.
