Unity Project-Graphic and Comparison

The top photo is the final graphic for my unity project. I wanted to keep it simple, but still get the basic idea of my project across. I chose the paper cause i liked the color contrast and design. I then did 2 smaller versions of one of the boxes on my project. The two crossing rods over top symbolize the two in the final piece  that cross to make the unified space.

The lower picture is the final project of  Rebecca Ladd's piece. I think it both compares and contrasts with my project. It compares to mine because both have a basic structure or module that is repeated over and over again. In my project it is a box, whereas in Rebecca's it is an oval shape. They also compare because both have a strong sense of negative space. In my piece the boxes create a definite space in the middle. In Rebecca's there is a vary clear space that is made both between the folds and on the outside of the folds as well. Our projects also contrast a great amount. My project is very rigid and has sharp lines, whereas hers has a flowing and curved effect.  My rods all are vertical and pointing up to project height, and Rebecca's are all horizontal. Hers also have a crossing pattern and go in  a plethora of directions, whereas mine all point towards the same spot creating that one unified space.
