This is an example of a site plan drawing of my house-25906 Rawley Sprngs Drive, Chantilly, Virginia 20152. I took the first image from google earth and then based on measurements and the visual I drew the plan view. After doing the basic outline of the house I added landscaping, and topographic lines to show the increasing or decreasing of the land. I included a key and a north arrow to show which direction the house is facing. I really liked doing the site plan drawing because it is more architecturally drawing based. I added color to my plan so that the viewer has a better idea of what they are viewing, and it helps them differentiate between different objects.
