Precedent To Twig Project

To better understand our project I had to find some piece of interior,artifact, building, structure, etc. that relates to my design.  I chose the Golden Gate Bridge because of its structural features. Similar to my project, the bridge has two locations that support the whole structure. In my model, the two locations are the hemp string that cuts through the accordion fold. The bridges two supports are the vertical beams that keep the bridge up. In both my project and the bridge the two vertical beams are keeping up a long horizontal piece. In the bridge the horizontal piece is obviously the part where you drive. In my project the horizontal piece is the twigs themselves. The way that the twigs lay on the string keep them up and off of the accordion. Both the bridge and my project are extremely strong due to their perpendicular lines and interlocking structures.
